Hosea 6 6

Psalm 91:1

“(1) He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Prayer Is Our Communication With God

Psalm 94:22 says,

“(22) But the LORD has been my defense, And my God the rock of my refuge.”

In my first book Dates With Jesus: Allowing God To Be Your Restorer I told my story. I am child abuse survivor, I have been molested, and I also was in The United States Marine Corps. I have had a rough journey and by God’s grace I made. It truly was nobody but God. I look back over my life and what I have been through and I P.R.O.M.I.S.E. you IT WAS NOBODY BUT GOD.

But there is a down side to what I have been through. I am soooooo thankful to GOD and what HE has done for me…. But GOD still has to deal with me and GOD DEALS WITH ME AS HIS CHILD as well as His prophet.

Before our date began, GOD dealt with me about The Fear Of The LORD and GOD told me to meditate on Psalm 91

Proverbs 3:11-12 reads,

“(11) My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor detest His correction; (12) For whom the LORD loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.”

Psalm 91:2

“(2) I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

I used to call myself a survivor but lately God has been telling me that I am   “More Than A Conqueror”.

The Bible says in Romans 8:31-39,

“(31) What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (32) He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? (33) Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. (34)Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also make intercession for us. (35) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (36)As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” (37) Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. (38)For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, (39) nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Psalm 91:3

“(3)Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.”

The Word of GOD says in Psalm 24:8,

“(8) Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle.

For it is written in Exodus 20:3,

“(3) You shall have no other gods before Me.

With that being said sometimes we forgot that what GOD says comes before what the doctor says, the teacher, the landlord, your parents, or anyone else…. Sometimes even you. What GOD says is final and you cannot change the mind of GOD FOR THERE HAS BEEN ONLY ONE TIME THAT GOD HEEDED THE VOICE OF A MAN ACCORDING TO

Joshua 10:14,

“(14) And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the LORD heeded the voice of man; for the LORD fought for Israel.”

For it is written

Proverbs 9:10,

“(10) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

Psalm 91:4

“(4)He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.”

There are three incidents that happened while on this date that reminded me that GOD IS KING OF KING AND LORD OF LORDS according to Revelation 19:16,

“(16) And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Incident One:

I was walking and talking to my Abba and suddenly God told me, Be still and pray.”

I obeyed I said the LORD’S PRAYER in Matthew 6:9-13,

“(9) In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. (10) Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is heaven. (11) Give us this day our daily bread. (12) And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. (13) And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

I continued to walk after being still and a big van flew past me and a part of the wheel flew off and completely missed me… GOD IS SO GOOD.

Psalm 91:5

“(5)You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day.”

Incident Two:

I continued on my walk and God told me, “Be still and pray.” Again I obeyed. This time I prayed John 3:16,

“(16) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Along with the LORD’S PRAYER IN Matthew 6:9-13,

“(9) In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. (10) Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is heaven. (11) Give us this day our daily bread. (12) And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. (13) And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

I continued on my walk and began to talk to GOD, suddenly two cars collided and one car was pushed on the side walk…. Only a few feet ahead of me. I GAVE GOD HIS GLORY! HE SAVED ME WHEN HE TOLD ME TO PRAY!

Psalm 91:6,

“(6) Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.”

Incident Three:

Psalm 29:1-2,

“(1) GIVE unto the LORD, O you mighty ones, Give unto the LORD glory and strength. Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”

I began to worship the LORD for all HE HAD DONE and I continued to walk when suddenly two big dogs came without a leash. Immediately GOD SPOKE and said, “Be still.”  GOD reminded me that HE did not give me the spirit of fear and that I did not have to worry according to 2 Timothy 1:7,

“(7)For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

I obeyed and the dogs stared at me for a moment and then went away.

Psalm 91:7,

“(7) A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.”

GOD IS A PROTECTOR. I am reminded of a verse in Proverbs 19:23,

“(23)The fear of the LORD leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.”

When we fear and reverence GOD He will protect us because we understand that HE IS GOD ALMIGHTY. God will protect us and keep us if we keep His commandments according to John 14:13-18,

“(13) And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. (14) If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. (15) If you love Me, keep My commandments. (16) And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- (17) the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive , because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells within you and will be in you. (18)I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”

Psalm 91:8

“(8)Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.”

As children of God we must rejoice and being GOD’S children. No, we don’t do certain things but that does not mean our lives are burdens. We must stop comparing ourselves to people who do not know the LORD and we have to trust GOD. Pray for those who do not know the LORD so that they may be saved.

Psalm 34:17,

“(17) The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.”

Psalm 91:9-16

“(9)Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place. (10) No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; (11)For  He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. (12)In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. (13) You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. (14)Because he has set his love upon Me, there I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. (15) He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. (16) With long life I will satisfy him, And show him my salvation.”

GOD showed me that He is a Psalm 91 GOD. On this date I learned many things… Prayer is so important….more important that I knew because it stops the plans of the enemy…. GOD IS SO FAITHFUL even we are undeserving…. OH HOW I LOVE JESUS!!! ❤ ❤ ❤ Also… It’s not about money… GOD just wants to spend time with us .. HE WANTS US TO LOVE HIM!

Hosea 6:6,

“(6) For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”

Verses To Remember:

Romans 14:1, “(1) Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things.”

Luke 24:7, “(7) saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.”

Ezekiel 20:12, “(12) Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the LORD who sanctifies them.”
