Critical Thinking

“LORD, my heart is not haughty, Nor my eyes lofty. Neither do I concern myself with great matters, Nor with things too profound for me.” – Psalm 131:1

I have learned that God is God.

The Bible says in Proverbs 9:10, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you.”  The fear of the Lord is added length to our days. Where there is no fear there is no length or fruitily of life. I have learned through trial and error, that it is important to reverence the Lord… because He will keep you. To fear the Lord is protection from the things of this world that would cause us to leave before our appointed time. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 7:17-18, “Do not be overly wicked, Nor be foolish; Why should you die before your time? It is good that you grasp this, And also not remove your hand from the other; For he who fears God will escape them all.”

“Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, Like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child is my soul within me.” – Psalm 131:2

God is in control

The Bible says in James 1:2-3, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” We have to know that trials are for the testing of our faith, to produce patience. When we exude patience we are confident in waiting on the Lord as it reads in Psalm 27:14, “ Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!” During this time of waiting, build your Spirit up! Pray, fast, and meditate on the Word daily and know that God will never leave nor forsake you as it reads in Psalm 37:25-29, “I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore. For the LORD loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, And dwell in it forever.” The promise has already been given to us! So hold onto the promise (THE WORD OF GOD) in the midst of trials! Trust God! Believe God!

“O Israel, hope in the LORD From this time forth and forever.” – Psalm 131:3

Prayer

Dear Lord Heavenly Father, Lord I take this time to surrender all of my problems to You. I give You my hopes, my dreams, and my future. I will no longer worry about something that is in Your control, but instead I will trust You. I know that You are a faithful God as it reads in 2 Timothy 2:13, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” Lord I thank You for being our all knowing Father, You are Marvelous. You are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. You are awesome and magnificent. If any sin should hinder this prayer, I ask that You forgive me. In Jesus Name, I pray. Thank God, Amen.
