The Righteousness of Faith

“For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.” – Romans 4:13

Throughout The Week

The Bible says in Numbers 23:19, “God is not a man, that He should lie,” Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” The promise that God has given us, will come to pass. Until that day comes, it is our responsibility to uphold the standard of righteousness, through faith and obedience, so that we are in alinement with God. The Bible says in John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” 1 Peter 1:6-7 says, “In this you greatly rejoice though now, for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” We must understand that the enemy has his job, but our job is to trust God through the ups and down. Our goal is to receive the greatest reward, which is The Kingdom of God as it reads in Matthew 5:12, “Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Prayer

Dear Lord Heavenly Father, God I want to take a moment to say thank You. Thank You for the fiery trials because they are for my good. Lord James 1:3 says, “knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” Lord help me to have confidence in You. Help me to see, that it is not in my strength, but in You as it reads in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” This trial is for you glory and the victory is for your glory. I will hold onto the promise that You gave me for Numbers 23:19 reads , “God is not a man, that He should lie,” Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” You are honest, pure, and true. Lord I worship You, In Jesus name I pray. Thank God, Amen.
