“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up” – James 4:10 (New King James Version)
Lord , let me not forget where you brought me from. I was once in bondage and you set me free. Romans 1:28 says “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to those things which are not fitting.” Lord I remember when it was me. Lord show me and teach me how to pray for my brothers and sisters. That I would not judge them but restore them with a gentle spirit for it says “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted (Galatians 6:1)” and “he who is without sin among you. Let him throw a stone at her first (John 8:7) ”. Remind me Lord that to much is given much is required (Luke 12:48) and You require me to love my neighbor as myself because there is no other commandment greater than these (Mark 12:31). Also , “Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom is little is forgiven, the same loves little. (Luke 7:47)”. You have forgiven me for so much …. Let me not forget.. I will humble myself under the mighty hand of God (1 Peter 5:6) so that I to might be saved. For “But of that day any hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only (Matthew 24:36) and “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” Lord allow me to find favor in your sight(Genesis 18:3) that I might be saved and help me to love my neighbor.
